Description of Project:
Following previous work by Poseidon to develop a Tropical Shrimp Trawl best practice blue-print for WWF, and its implementation in other countries, Poseidon completed a benchmarking review of shrimp fisheries in Tanzania and Kenya against both the blue-print, and the Marine StewardShip Council certification standard. The benchmarking was used to identify possible entry points for future WWF-involvement with improved shrimp fisheries in the region.
