Poseidon amalgamated catch records from all the RFMO databases, and then analysed and described market flows of different species and products by ocean area and fleet type. A model was then developed, based on catch volumes and price data to calculate the ex-vessel and market value of tuna by ocean, species, and major fleet type. Estimates of values of tuna sales were provided for both 2012 and 2014.
