Description of Project:
Preparation of draft eligibility criteria for projects to be funded by a Sustainable Fisheries Investment Fund in the LMEs of Sub-Saharan Africa. Particular focus was placed on criteria to ensure funding through GEF funds based on the principle of incremental cost.

Services Provided:
Poseidon prepared a background summarising the principles and eligibility criteria of GEF Operational Programmes, how these were followed in relevant examples and on the basis of this, prepared a set of eligibility criteria.
