Description of Project:
The brown crab fishery in the Orkney Islands is currently undergoing full assessment under the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification scheme for responsible fisheries. This follows completion of a Fisheries Improvement Project (FIP) to raise the fishery to a point where full assessment can be considered.

Services Provided:

A Poseidon Director is the P3 (Fisheries Governance and Management) specialist on this new assessment.
