Description of Project:
Poseidon provided an economist for the implementation and evaluation of specific sub regionally focused assistance for post Tsunami reconstruction and rehabilitation expenditure including vessel replacement, harbour and ice plant construction, shrimp and grouper farm rehabilitation, seaweed farming, and institutional capacity building. Specific duties related:

Investigation of the feasibility of economic activities including harbours, ice plants, traditional shrimp ponds, grouper and tilapia cage culture, seaweed farming, shrimp and fish hatcheries and fishing vessels

cooperative/cluster developments/value chain including integrated market design packages for reef fish, shrimp, grouper, tuna, tilapia and mud crab.
