Description of Project:
Poseidon provided the team leader and management expert for the full assessment of the Australian Northern Prawn fishery, under the direction of the CB MRAG Americas.

The Northern Prawn fishery represents the most valuable fishery in Australia with 52 vessels. The assessment coverred stock assessment and management, bycatch and environmental risks and NPF governance systems and their application in management. The fishery was awarded a Certificate in OCtober 2012.

Poseidon Australia works exclusively with the CB MRAG in Australia and now undertakes pre and full assessments on their behalf in Australia, SE Asia and the Pacific.
