Description of Project:
Poseidon undertook a review of the EU' EDF funded SCIFISH and SciCOFish programmes (http://www.spc.int/fame/en/projects/scicofish/about-scicofish) which provides valuable support funding to SPCs research into WCPO tuna and coastal fisheries. The focus of the programme is on strengthening stock assessment, ecosystem modelling and data collection processes.

Services Provided:
Poseidon conducted a final evaluation of the 'Scientific Support for Oceanic Fisheries Management in the western and central Pacific Ocean' (SCIFISH) 2007 - 2010 project and a mid-term evaluation of the Scientific Support for the Management of Coastal and Oceanic Fisheries in the Pacific Islands Region (SciCOFish) 2010-2012 project
