Services in support of Fisheries and Aquaculture M&E under the EMFF 2014-2020 - FAME

Description of Project:
The European Commission, represented by the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), concluded a service contract with GOPA consulting for the provision of services in support of Fisheries and Aquaculture Monitoring and Evaluation (referred to as "FAME") under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) 2014-2020.

The aim of FAME was to foster the development of the Common Monitoring and Evaluation System (CMES) established by Article 107 of the EMFF Regulation. FAME was estbalished to ensure that the required capacity is progressively built across all components of the CMES so that effective and efficient systems are in place and deliver the information required by the CPR and EMFF Regulations. To achieve this, FAME provided support at the EU level but also in the Member States.

As part of a core team of companies/experts working in the GOPA consortium, Poseidon provided technical inputs across a range of tasks as part of FAME.
