Description of Project:
Hunt Oil's exploration activities in Oman include offshore seismic and exploratory drilling activities in areas where fishermen are known to operate. The company is keen to minimise any adverse impacts on the fisheries sector.

Services Provided:
Poseidon collected baseline data on the fisheries sector, and carried out consultation with fishermen, relevant Ministries and other stakeholders about the potential impacts of offshore oil exploration and development work. Mitigating measures, appropriate management plans, and communication/liaison mechanisms between the fisheries sector and oil company were proposed, so as to minimise adverse impacts on the fisheries sector.
