MSC assessment: Southern North Sea nephrops fishery UK

Description of Project:
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standard for a responsible managed fisheries is the leading certification standard for capture fisheries.

Moody Marine International and Poseidon applied the assessment process to the Southern North Sea nephrops fishery.

Services Provided:
A Poseidon Director was reponsible for assessing the fishery against Principle 2 of MSC standard, which looks at the impact of the fishery upon non-target species, habitats and the wider marine ecosystem.
