Characterization of major fishing ports around the world Global

Description of Project:
This project generated a database of the volume and value of landings by species group, for major fishing ports around the world. A number of important ports were selected for more detailed analysis of the number of vessel landings, flag state of vessels landings, etc. The study, in addition to generating the database, resulted in interesting findings, especially in the context of the Port State Measures Agreement, about the lack of publicly available data by port for most countries.
