Description of Project:
With changing emphasis being put upon the usage of harbours in the two towns, the Whitby and Scarborough Infrastructure Study examined infrastructure in the ports available for the fishing fleet.
Services Provided:
This study was undertaken in partnership with the Sea Fish Industry Authority. Analysis following stakeholder consultation identified those elements critical for sustainability of fishing activity in the region. A strategic action plan was developed providing time-bound actions for development within the two harbours.
