Seafood NW Development Study UK
NW Seafoods Ltd and Government Office for the North-West - Project Dates:
March 2005 - July 2005
Description of Project:
A strategic study and cost benefit analysis was conducted into options for the refurbishment or rebuilding of the market auction hall at Fleetwood in the NW of England. The potential for electronic marketing was reviewed, and different sites for relocation of the market and processing activity were considered. Following extensive stakeholder consultation with processors and catchers, and an economic CBA of different options, one option for development was then selected, designed and costed in more detail. Different sources of finance were considered to support this regeneration, and a business plan and grant applications were prepared for presentation to private and public funding sources.
Services Provided:
All aspects of the study except for detailed design and costing of civil engineering inputs
