Description of Project:
This consultancy assessed the export potential of several fisheries and aquaculture value chains, based on different scenarios for future trends in global markets. Poseidon staff worked with local stakeholders to collect and analyse data in Madagascar on products offering most potential, and then conducted desk-study research on global markets, competitors, and trade arrangements for these products. The outputs of the study fed into the Madagascar second SWIOFish governance and shared growth project.
