Peer Review of a Self-Assessment Tool for the Implementation of the WTO Fisheries Subsidies Agreement Global

Description of Project:
IISD had developed a Self-Assessment Tool for the Implementation of the Fisheries Subsidies Agreement to allow WTO Member countries to effectively determine their readiness to implement the new agreement, identify possible gaps as well as technical assistance needs that would have to be addressed in order to be fully compliant with new WTO rules.

Poseidon provided a peer review of the tool and associated guide which had been developed to provide a better understanding of the new disciplines that the WTO members will need to implement. The review led to changes and improvements in the tool and guide document.
