High-risk imports and consumption of squid in Europe Global

Description of Project:
As part of the background research for a study to be conducted in 2025, Oceana sought to identify which EU Member State is most likely to trade in high-risk squid products.

Services Provided:

Poseidon carried out an analysis to determine which EU Member State imports and consumes the most squid products with a high risk of illegal fishing or labour abuses. This assessment was based on a market analysis and other relevant data for the identified country. This analysis allowed Oceana to determine which country should be the focus of the 2025 study, which part of the supply chain and which specific products pose the greatest risk.
