Description of Project:
The Verifish project aims to improve the transparency, authenticity, and traceability of seafood products by developing and applying reliable methods to verify species identity and product origin, thereby addressing seafood fraud and mislabelling. In parallel, it seeks to stimulate increased consumption of sustainable seafood by establishing a framework of verifiable indicators, using these as the basis for targeted, accessible, and engaging media products and campaigns, and delivering European Good Practice recommendations on how to efficiently organise and implement such campaigns.
