Regional Dependency on Fisheries EC

Description of Project:
The Study, in collaboration with Framian (NL), examined the evolving nature of fishery dependency (fleet, aquaculture, processing and other onshore support) within EC fisheries, 1998 to 2005. Three areas of evaluation of regional dependency were used: employment, value added and fleet linkages between quota and non quota species. Aswell as identifying regional fisheries dependency, the report, using quantitive analysis provides projections for potential changes in regional employment and value added.
