Studies to Support Communities of Target Actors to Achieve the Objectives of the EU Mission Ocean EU

Description of Project:
CINEA supported the implementation of the EU Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030 by commissioning studies to assist its delivery. The project aimed to support communities of actors in achieving the Mission’s objectives by providing evidence-based analysis and strategic insights, thereby contributing to the restoration of Europe’s ocean and water ecosystems.

The provision of services includes:

1. Coordination, timely management (including design and publication the call) and evaluation of the expressions of interest received with an aim to select for support at least 40 applicants across the EU from three targeted communities under mission ‘Ocean and Waters’;

2. Provision of technical assistance to the successful applicants in preparing feasibility studies for projects that support the achievement of mission ‘Ocean and Waters’ objectives and targets;

3. Compilation of a qualitative study report describing the main categories of issues that the applicants requested help with.
