Description of Project:
The purpose of the project was to review fish and shellfish production and consumption in the UK and aim to:
a) bring together evidence on the environmental, health, rural development and consumer behaviour impacts of fish production and consumption;
b) put this together with information about the actions already being taken to minimise these impacts; and
c) highlight gaps between (a) and (b) in order to make suggestions for improved and additional actions by business, Government and others to drive more sustainable fish consumption and production in the UK.
Services Provided:
Poseidon provided a team of specialists in fisheries, aquaculture, seafood markets and consumer studies for this study.
